The most famous collectible model car is James Bond's Aston Martin DB5, issued by Corgi in 1965 as number 261, with ejector seat, retractable machine guns and rear bulletproof shield. Produced from 1965 to 1969, it sold over 2.7 million copies and made Corgi one of the biggest brands in the field. More recent collection cars (such as those sold with Atlas partworks) are much cheaper than these 1960s pieces.
